I’ve worked with both adolescents and adults dealing with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and grief. When it comes to adolescents, I make an effort to step into their world and see things from their point of view. I also work closely with their families to help them understand what their teen is going through. I know that expressing themselves can be tough for adolescents, so I take my time and approach things with patience. I also try to stay in the loop with current trends, language, and cultural shifts, so I can stay relatable and connect with them on a deeper level. When working with adults, I take a similar patient and understanding approach, recognizing that adulthood comes with its own set of challenges. I’ve also worked with justice-involved individuals, helping them see the potential for a better future. No matter who I’m working with, I aim to create a therapeutic space that’s respectful, empathetic, and supportive. With adults, I help them dig into their past and understand how it impacts their present. My goal is to guide them toward healing and help them break free from feeling stuck. I gently challenge my clients to look at how their routines, choices, and thought patterns might be holding them back, and work with them to realize they have the power to live a fulfilling and healthy life.

Hello and welcome to a healthier tomorrow. My goal as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist is to help you overcome any challenges or barriers you may be experiencing in your day-to-day life. I strive to navigate sessions with empathy and compassion, making sure to hold space for any pressing concerns. Adults who are experiencing issues such as stress, anxiety, grief, and trauma are encouraged to try individual therapy. The client and I will explore their past and present to identify any triggers that may be causing negative thinking patterns. Clients will learn to analyze and solve stressful problems through cognitive behavioral therapy and utilize mindfulness techniques to bring awareness to the present. Couples dealing with stressors such as intimacy, communication, and trust issues are also welcome to explore their relationship in couples therapy. In this setting, both partners will be encouraged to actively listen to one another while reflecting on the other’s feelings. Couples will be prompted to partake in bonding activities outside of sessions and to journal their thoughts or feelings to increase self-awareness. Children and adolescents navigating difficult stages of their lives may find play therapy to be a creative way to explore their obstacles. By using storytelling, children can create narratives to understand and process their emotions. For adolescents, drawing and art projects can be used to express inner thoughts and feelings. My aim is to support everyone in their journey toward self-improvement by providing a safe environment where clients can feel comfortable expressing their true selves.

Specialties
I treat children, adolescents, and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, behavioral issues, stress and traumatic events. When working with children, I look for ways to enter into their unique perspective by using what they are drawn to in order to relate and facilitate change. I often use expressive arts and storytelling to help children express themselves through creative means such as drawing, building, and acting out stories. I work with parents and children to help parents feel better supported as well as be able to support their child’s healthy emotional development. With treating adolescents, I aim to create a safe space where they feel heard and understood without judgment, which is key to contributing to growth, self-awareness, and emotional regulation. I also treat adults in individual psychotherapy struggling with a variety of life stressors and difficulties. Through our work, I identify current behaviors and patterns that are bringing on distress and offer tools in changing those patterns and behaviors into positive ones that will help you thrive. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed with the day to day, stuck in a space which no longer serves you, or need more help leading a more balanced and fulfilled life, we work on what is best for your healing. I look forward to working with you!

My name is Bryce Denham. I graduated with a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hope International University in June 2023 and am currently practicing as an associate marriage and family therapist. I have experience treating children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families who struggle with challenges such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, divorce, relationship problems, and communication issues. I am passionate about ensuring that people of all backgrounds have a safe space to begin their healing journeys. In my work, I promote vulnerability by allowing the client to have a voice and giving them the space to open up at their pace. I then promote progress using the appropriate approaches including CBT, DBT, or attachment. I believe that everyone deserves the chance to pursue healing and happiness. I absolutely look forward to working with anyone who is ready to get started with their own healing journey!
