Motivation is a big contributor to accomplishing tasks and other things in our life. When motivation is low, we sometimes have tendencies to struggle with accomplishing tasks. Without a desire to do things, we fall back on having very little, to no drive in accomplishing goals. At times, we may feel energized and ready to embrace the tasks we set out for; however, once we attempt to get started, it becomes difficult to get there. It is important to set a purpose, in order to give you something to look forward to.
Start with short and realistic goals and write down your steps toward accomplishing your goal. Be mindful of your goal and set realistic goals, for instance, having a shorter list of tasks to accomplish is much more helpful than trying to embrace a longer list of things to do.
Achieving motivation takes time, so don’t forget to implement self compassion along the way. Kindness to yourself goes a long way, implement helpful self-care (I.e. meditation, me time, etc.). Lastly, don’t forget to praise the smallest things you have accomplished.
