Dr. Cristina Gomez, PsyD Psychological Assistant PSB94024295

Dr. Cristina Gomez PsyD, is a clinical psychological assistant working directly under the supervision of Dr. Farnush Farmand PsyD., Licensed Clinical Psychologist PSY29573.

My approach to treatment is based on the belief that each individual has the ability to heal and change. In my work with clients, I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate environment where we can build a trusting and collaborative relationship towards positive change. My approach is to treat the individual by addressing the many areas that make them whole, while helping them improve functioning, growth, self-efficacy and resilience.  I have extensive training working with individuals, couples and families.  My emphasis is working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, loss and grief, along with trauma related to history of abuse.

I feel that most everyone can benefit from mental health services, however, not everyone has access to such services due to financial hardship and inaccessible affordable care. Affordable mental health care can assist individuals in getting the treatment needed to cope with life stressors and address their mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, and adjustment to loss, among others. In my work, I make an effort to treat the individual as a whole to reach a level of well being that will improve not just their lives, but the lives of their families and over all environment.

I look forward to working with you!
