My name is Ashlee and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I have a deep passion for helping people navigate challenging and often uncertain periods in life with a realistic attitude. My theory of choice is Motivational Interviewing because I believe therapy works best when my clients are in a collaborative environment that encourages them to advocate for their own needs and wants. I believe that this support increases their ability to confidently make necessary changes in their lives. I also borrow from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the Bowenian/Multigenerational theory as necessary.
In my experience thus far, I have done a significant amount of work with self-referred and court-mandated clients. The major focus has been on couples and individuals usually relating to issues with depression and anxiety. I have led many groups covering a range of topics which include domestic violence, anger management, parenting, and child abuse.
I hope that through the experience I create in session, I can help you begin to identify patterns that exist in your life. Armed with this knowledge, we can figure out which of these patterns are beneficial to you and which can lead to cycles of dissatisfaction.
